St. George Spectrum & Daily News – Utah Symphony crescendos near Zion National Park in Forever Mighty Tour finale post-flood

After 500 miles of performances across rural Utah, the Utah Symphony ended the “Forever Mighty” Tour after the pandemic and floods halted it.

After a tumultuous year of limited in-person performances, the Utah Symphony has re-emerged with the “Forever Mighty” Tour, visiting many of the state’s national parks and landscapes and ending on Saturday in Hurricane with hundreds of attendees despite the threat of harsh rains.

The Symphony previously held the “Mighty 5 Tour” in 2014 and the “Great American Road Trip Tour” in 2017, both with performances in similar settings. This year’s tour was originally scheduled for last year.

But this tour is about more than the beautiful backdrops to marvelous music.
