SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (Feb. 6, 2014) – Magic and wonder await as Deputy Headmaster Vladimir Kulenovic conducts the Utah Symphony through the music and fantasy of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry on February 18 and 19 at Abravanel Hall. Songs from the “Harry Potter” movie soundtracks composed by John Williams are scattered throughout the concert including the musical flights of “Nimbus 2000” and “Hedwig’s Theme” and the mystical spells of “The Sorcerer’s Stone” and “Witches, Wands and Wizards”.

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (Jan. 30, 2014) – Flowers, hearts and marriage are showcased in the sounds of love and affection in the Utah Symphony’s Valentine’s Day performance on Feb. 14 - 15 at Abravanel Hall. Fall in love with Maestro Thierry Fischer as he leads guest Violinist Itamar Zorman through Tchaikovsky’s “Violin Concerto in D Major.” Composed in 1878, this concerto is one of the best known and is considered to be one of the most technically difficult.
