General Group Guidelines
What Qualifies as a Group?
A minimum of 10 people attending the same performance. This can be any combination of students and/or adults.
How Does a Group Reserve Tickets?
To make a group reservation, please call our Group Sales Associate, Genevieve Gannon, at (801) 294-2873 or USUO Patron Services at (801) 533-NOTE (6683). You may also submit a request through our online Group Sales inquiry form. All 10+ tickets need to be reserved in a single order to qualify for discounts and benefits.
If you need additional tickets for the same performance, please call Genevieve Gannon at (801) 294-2873 or USUO Patron Services at (801) 533-NOTE (6683) to purchase tickets with your group discount*, and we will do our best to seat all guests as close together as possible.
*Subject to availability. SIGNATURE concerts are not eligible for a discount.
Does a Group Need to Sit Together?
No, groups may sit in different areas at our performance venues if they prefer.
Does a Group Need to Pay for Their Tickets in Advance of a Performance?
Yes, all group orders must be paid in full in advance of a performance in order to hold their reservation. If a group is reserving far enough in advance, we offer payment plan options at no additional cost. All ticket sales are final. No refunds.
How Do You Distribute Group Tickets?
We recommend having your group tickets mailed (if time allows) for distribution in advance of your performance.
Groups may choose to have their tickets held at Will Call to be distributed at the venue on the day of the performance (click here for box office hours). We recommend you please choose one of the following options:
- Provide a list of each individuals’ first and last name and how many tickets they will be picking up at Will Call at least 48 hours in advance of your performance. Contact Genevieve Gannon at (801) 294-2873 or [email protected] or the Patron Services office at (801) 533-6683 for details.
- You may also choose to designate a group representative to pick up all tickets, and distribute to your party onsite.
The lobbies of Abravanel Hall and Capitol Theatre are not available for setting up tables to meet parties, or to distribute tickets, goods, or swag bags. If you have items for your guests, please distribute them in advance.
High School Club Packages
Enjoy great performances at a special low price by organizing a music club in collaboration with Utah Symphony | Utah Opera! There are TWO types of High School Club packages available, so gather your friends and classmates to explore the symphony and opera performances you’d like to attend:
Symphony and Opera Club – Attend five (5) USUO performances! Select four (4) Symphony concerts, and one (1) Opera-tunities Final Dress Rehearsal.
Opera-Tunities Club – Attend ALL four (4) Opera-tunities Final Dress Rehearsals.
