Jason Englund is the Executive Vice President and General Counsel for Bonneville International Corporation, where he oversees all aspects of legal affairs and regulatory compliance across the company’s many media properties, including KSL-TV and KSL NewsRadio in Salt Lake City. Jason joined Bonneville in April 2019 as Associate General Counsel and also served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources before becoming General Counsel in 2021.

Prior to joining Bonneville, Jason worked as in-house counsel for Pinnacle West Capital Corporation in Phoenix and previously worked as a management-side employment attorney and class action litigator at law firms Sidley Austin and Seyfarth Shaw in Chicago. He has frequently appeared as a presenter and panelist on Labor & Employment law matters and has been recognized as an “Up-and-Comer” by the Association of Corporate Counsel. In 2023, Jason completed the National Association of Broadcasters Leadership Foundation’s Broadcast Leadership Training program, an executive MBA-style program for senior broadcast executives.

Jason holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Utah (cum laude), and a Juris Doctor from the Boston University School of Law (magna cum laude), where he served as an Editor of the Boston University Law Review and a Legal Writing Fellow and was honored as a Paul Liacos Distinguished Scholar and G. Joseph Tauro Scholar. Following law school, Jason clerked for the Honorable Joseph L. Tauro, U.S. District Court, District of Massachusetts.

Jason joined the Utah Symphony | Utah Opera Board of Trustees in September 2023, he was appointed chair of the Governance Committee in September 2024, and additionally serves on the Executive Committee. A native of Salt Lake City, Jason also studied the trombone as a young adult and performed in the Utah Youth Symphony and several ensembles at the University of Utah. He and his wife Nadia are devoted fans of the symphony and opera and have been regular patrons of the Santa Fe Opera, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and Chicago Lyric Opera. They live in Salt Lake City with their four children.
