Henry C. Wurts has over two decades of experience regarding financial and corporate risk management. After receiving his doctorate from the Wharton School of Business and teaching risk management at the University of Texas, he worked in New York and Chicago, applying both technical and creative skills in developing and valuing innovative, deal-specific, non-standard financial derivatives. After recently spending a decade in commercial banking assessing, among other things, risk and valuation for financial derivatives embedded within banking and financial products; he has consulted in the areas of credit models, credit derivatives, and credit ratings, helping financial institutions understand and improve their risk exposures.
Mr. Wurts continues to support the local community, having taught as an adjunct at the University of Utah and continuing to serve on Boards for local non-profits. He was elected to join the Utah Symphony | Utah Opera Board of Trustees beginning September 2018 and to serve as Chair of the Investment Committee beginning September 2023. He additionally serves on the Finance Committee.
