Yes, we are one the largest performing arts organization in the Intermountain West and one of only fifteen 52-week, professional orchestras in the nation. But more importantly, we are a community-focused, non-profit organization dedicated to serving our entire state. Our diverse programming is made possible through the generous support of our community. There are many ways to support what we do, but none are more important and far-reaching than your ongoing support for our Annual Fund.
Gifts to the Annual Fund support every aspect of our organization, providing unrestricted funds that can be directed to areas of greatest need, greatest promise, and greatest impact. This means your gift helps support every single unique encounter with live music that we create during the year for over 320,000 audience members – from busloads of fifth graders coming for an interactive symphony performance at Abravanel Hall, to Park City visitors catching a show at the Deer Valley Music Festival, to the young couple on a date at Capitol Theatre, enjoying a night at the Opera. Your gift can ensure that these encounters with live music will be remembered for a lifetime.
My love for classical music can be traced back to when I attended concerts at Abravanel Hall as a student with my fifth grade class. We are proud to support this organization today so that thousands and thousands of Utah’s young people can have the same experience.Read why so many of our patrons – including busy working parents of small children, lifelong learners, and Utah’s business leaders – are proud to help USUO thrive through their ongoing gifts to the Annual Fund.

Abravanel and Peterson Societies
With a $2,000 tax-deductible contribution you can become a member of the Utah Symphony’s Abravanel Society or Utah Opera’s Peterson Society. These societies pay tribute to former Utah Symphony conductor Maurice Abravanel and Utah Opera founder Glade Peterson. It is because of their leadership and commitment to the arts in Utah that Utah Symphony | Utah Opera is the cornerstone arts organization we are today.
