Organized by the Utah Symphony | Utah Opera Education Department, this event is an opportunity for blind and visuallyimpaired patrons to attend the Wednesday, May 7 evening dress rehearsal of the opera. The story of Mozart’s The Abduction from the Seraglio follows a dashing nobleman doing his best to rescue a fair damsel in distress who has been kidnapped by Turkish pirates.

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (Mar. 26, 2014) – The second week in April, Maestro Thierry Fischer conducts the Utah Symphony with musical works by Mozart, Bernstein, and Nielsen. First in the concert is Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s popular work Eine Kleine Nachtmusik (A Little Night Music). Despite its widespread popularity, this work has only appeared once before in the Masterworks Series in 1976 conducted by none other than Maurice Abravanel.

Experience the pure sounds and clear tones of the trumpet played by a master. Botti has four number one jazz albums and has received multiple Grammy Awards. Most recently, his latest album Impressions won the Best Pop Instrumental Album at the 2013 Grammy Awards.
